#70 An Old Look for NewLook

This faux fur from NewLook has the archetypal cape-like silhouette and 3/4 length sleaves of the 1940's. Add a tweed pencil skirt and a string of tiny pearls for the neck and wrist and maybe a matching brooch.

A Musical Interlude

A few years ago I had a podcast called Woman Sour which was sadly lost into the digital ether when the site went down, so I'm bringing her back with this 20 minute promo, please let me what you think  here and maybe next time it can be a whole hour...?

#68 Twiggy-esk

This wonderful little sweetheart has Twiggy written all over it! The lovely little neck high collar and the geometric shapes give this dress an almost 60's Yves Saint Laurent, Mondrian appearance and the length and cut gives it that iconic 60's edge.
I love the way the model wears it here but I would add a larger pair of sunglasses and a pair of killer wedge platforms!

And what about this bag? To go with the dress?

Next  £28

And yet another Next find! These shoes by Irregular choice are a bargain at £65 and would add such a great touch to any outfit, especially on June 5th!

Missy Lil's does have to confess some thing here... I always thought these were broaches but they're brooches...

Anyway how ever you spell it these little collection by Mood for Debenhams are so sweet and only eight quid for the set!

#65 Across the Chanel

What is Missy Lil wearing today? I hear you cry... Well today I am wearing my Chanel inspired outfit with some sweethearts I bought only yesterday from my very own HighStreet... So I thought I'd share.

To Start with I bought this wonderful top from the basics range at H&M for a mere £12.99. It has the iconic slash style neck and just the perfect amount of stripes. The zip detail down the back adds a bit of style to this gorgeous number.

These cropped jeans from Dorothy Perkins seem harmless enough but add a pair of fishnets (I picked mine up for £3 for 2 pairs in Primark) and you instantly have something special going on...

Only £25!

I've topped the outfit off with a pair of Wayferers... This pair happen to be my actual reading glasses from Joseph Marc at Lensway for £79 with lenses!

Finish this outfit off with a pair of boat shoes for £49.99 from Clarkes. (I got them for £20 in the sale and they are the comfyist shoes I have ever worn!)

Et Voila... Coco would be proud...

#64 Hobbs Nobbs

How cute is this rouched detailed teadress from Hobbs?

With it's pretty rounded Peter Pan collar and bow detail, added to the fact that they've named it the 'Betty Dress' makes the £149 price tag worth it!

They suggest espadrilles but I would say add some fishnet stockings and heels, like these from Clarkes maybe...?  and tie that hair up!

Lovely!

#63 Miss Brook... All this time wasted in TV!

What a great cossie! The sweetheart bustline and the neck tie is oozing style... But please could just one designer give us a lower knicker line?
My costume cost me a fortune from a retro store but with just a couple of inches each side this costume would be perfect!

Still for onl £22.99 from Kelly Brook at NewLook I shouldn't complain!
